The Smashbox Photo Event With Steven Khan Coming to Sephora in Aventura, Boca Rotan

Smashbox Cosmetics will be invading two South Florida Sephora locations for a one-of-a-kind photo event. On Friday, August 5 in Aventura and Saturday, August 6 in Boca, the Smashbox artistry team will be conducting makeovers using hues and products from their latest collection. After getting dolled up, participants will take part in a private photo session with celebrity photographer Steven Khan. Guests will then receive a complimentary CD/DVD of their professional shots. This package is available to anyone who purchases at least $75 in Smashbox cosmetics.

This is the perfect event for those looking to get fresh headshots and/or update their makeup bag.  The event will take place from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. in Aventura and from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in Boca. Each location kindly requests that you call in advance to book an appointment. Walk-ins will only be accepted if appointed time slots are not full.

Henri Bendel Set to Open in Dadeland Mall on Friday, July 29

The Dadeland Mall is the new home for the latest Henri Bendel store. The grand opening will take place on Friday, July 29 from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. There will be a champagne toast and photo booth for guests. No word on sale specials yet, but here's hoping!

Mercedes Benz Swim Week 2012 is just a few days away from taking over The Raleigh in Miami Beach. Here's a quick recap of last year's best shows. Make sure it head to the official website for the full schedule and location details. Check back into LuvLi for Swim Week related events as well. 

* Tribal prints were all the rage during last year's runway shoes. Mara Hoffman and Kooey both showed colorful, bold prints.

* Lisa Blue  (pictured above) expressed her passion for whales with dotted, mosaic portraits and hints of tribal. The pieces were accented with feminine touches of lace and ruffles. 

* Nicoleta presented an elegant, mid-century and Cuban-inspired collection. The pieces featured contrasting colors intermixed with classic stripes and polka dots.
