PHOTOS: Fashion Bloggers Do It Better (And Do It Big) at Ricochet

Note to the rest of the country: Miami's blogging scene is booming.

Anyone who may have doubted our local stylistic solidarity was silenced after last night's successful Fashion Bloggers Do It Better at Ricochet Bar and Lounge. At the forefront of the blogging bustle were hosts Annie Vasquez of The Fashion Poet and Eugy and Simonett of The Goodwill Project. Droves of guests worked their way around event, enjoying blogger-themed cocktails and luvli little cupcakes by Ready-Set-Cupcake. Blo Dry Bar provided complimentary braiding, while pop-ups by Gold Saturn, Betsy Moss, N&K Designs, Fake Frivolity and TINte Cosmetics gave anxious shoppers deals and demos on some of their collections' staples. I didn't get to grab a swag bag (::tear::) but I heard the contents were quite sweet. Guests were also able to strike a pose and rock a stache in front of the Flash Candy Instagram Booth.

PHOTOS: M.A.C. Cosmetics' Hit the Pavement Event Takes Over the Wynwood Walls

Beauty and performance art blended masterfully during March 27th's M.A.C. Hit the Pavement event at the Wynwood Walls. Known for their saturated hues, the cosmetics brand presented full-body painted pantomimes that occasionally integrated into the Walls themselves. Beauty experts and stylistas mingled amongst the human statues while sipping complimentary margaritas and light bites.

Smashburger Opens in Pembroke Pines Today, March 21

I was first introduced to Smashburger during my California-wanderings last summer; since then, Smashburger has managed to pop-out four new South Florida locations. Lucky for me, their Pembroke Pines location is practically in my backyard, perfectly situated in the new Whole Foods Plaza (with Whole Foods also set to open March 28). Given the Fast Casual market's massive growth paralleling the specialty-burger boom, it often proves daunting to find a favorite foodie spot to call your own. What I like about Smashburger is their ability to craft a specialty burger reflecting each major city they inhabit. Now that I have tried - and loved - both the Miami and San Diego specialties, Smashburger has gotten my one-up over everyone else in the market.

The Yummies: Miami's Bocaditos Food Truck, New Menu Items Start This Week

Bocaditos' $12.99 meal: three micros, shoe string fries (mine are spicy)  and a Monin Tropic Soda (not pictured).

Bocaditos has become one of my favorite food trucks in the South Florida area. I am currently having an on-going passionate love affair with their mouth-melting micro-sandwhiches; this affair has been actualized thanks to continuous social media stalking and late night cravings. The truck's slider-sized bites reference Cuban staples like chimichurri and el sandwhich Cubano, and then steer the staples into fusion beatitude. Bocaditos' Whole Foods-worthy resume of humanely raised meats and organic products only makes the experience of eating here that much more satisfying. Vegetarians can even substitute their orders with soy instead of meat. The only setback for some may be the price point - each micro costs $4 - thus the truck's $12.99 meal deal is worth the buy; it includes three micros of your choice, fries and a Monin Tropical Soda (so refreshing!) And don't skip out on the ultra moist chocolate rum cake either; it is one of the best I have ever had.

Bocaditos recently tweeted that they would be serving up new menu items starting this week, so expect this post to be updated once I can give the new bites a try. Download their current menu here and hit the jump for photos of my favorite Bocaditos bites.

Spring Forward: My Favorite Boho Beach Style Finds

Zingara cuffs & scarves - Photo by Liana Lozada.

If you live in South Florida, you have undoubtedly noticed that Spring has officially arrived (well, at least for the rest of the country...) Your Monday commute may have felt overly aggravating thanks to hundreds failing to adjust to Daylight Savings. Perhaps you attempted to take advantage of the weekend's gorgeous weather by heading to the beach, only to be reminded that it's Spring Break and thousands of tourists beat you to your favorite spot.

Once those imposing out-of-towners take their burnt behinds back north (that is, until WMC in a few weeks...), we can go back to our regularly scheduled beach days and BBQs. In the meantime,  I've handpicked a few of my own favorite boho beach style pieces with recs on where to find similar pieces for yourself.

Sea-Colored Polishes
Milani Neon in Fresh Teal.
This Milani teal is a brighter blue than the bottle implies, so don't let the packaging deceive you. Looking for something greener? Check out the two Sally Hensen shades below.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mint Sorbet and Sally Hansen Insta-Dry in Mint Sprint.

L*Space Swimwear
L*Space Beverly Bandeau and Dandy Bottom
I LOVE my L*Space bathing suit; the fabric quality is fantastic and I applaud the brand's ability to create flattering and unique fits. I own the Beverly Bandeau and Dandy Bottom in (of course) dark teal, but I found some similarly great pieces from this season's collection that I would snatch up in a heartbeat. The bandeaus do not provide a significant amount of support, so I don't recommend buying one and then carelessly frolicking around in the surf: It will end badly. Here are my favs from the current collection:
Top, DH9812 Multi. Bottom, LS2212 in Tiffany Blue.
Top, AN7212 Multi. Bottom, AN2212 Multi.
