1. It was my birthday present from my dear friend, Diame. Thank you, Di! Best birthday gift ever!
2. "99 Problems" was the hype song. That friendship seems pretty serious.
3. The Back to the Future theme song was their entrance song. (Michael J. Fox was pretty much my first crush.)
4. They handed out bracelets that illuminated on cue during certain songs - mostly those from "Mylo Xyloto." The effect was nothing short of magical, like being trapped inside of an enormous Christmas Tree while running off ten Red Bulls.
5. They had screens all around the arena so everyone, no matter where you sat (including the sold out seats behind the stage), could see the action. They also had a wrap-around ramp, which let the band perform directly facing those behind the stage.
6. There was confetti. Lots.
7. There were huge beach ball balloons. Lots.
8. The show took place just a week after the Miami Heat won the NBA Championship, and Chris continued to refer to us as the "Mother fucking NBA Champs of the World." Damn right! Ego-boost, horay!
9. Speaking of Heat Players, some were there. LeBron James tweeted about it. Mike Miller and Shane Battier were also in the building.
10. ...as was Chris Martin's wife, Gywneth Paltrow, who he ran to after a pop-up set in the audience (which will be reason 11.) to lay a smooch on her. He also dedicated "Yellow" to her. So freakin' sweet.
On June 28, the Summer Edition of Fashion Bloggers Do It Better swooped into Ricochet in Midtown, featuring a slew of pop-ups, creative libations, and digital trendsetters.
For the inaugural outing, I went the pleated skirt route. This time around, I made a vintage pearl necklace the centerpiece. I've held onto this piece for quite some time: It was gifted to my mother over fifty years ago and I snatched it when she contemplated storing it away in box somewhere.

The tie caught the attention of several bloggers - including Mila's Thoughts and What's Her Secret - who each featured it on their respective blogs. I've nabbed a few of their photos to include here, alongside some of my own.
